Bumble Bee Baby Shower

Two of my nieces are having babies, and the will both be arriving with a few weeks of one another!  One's having a boy, and the other a girl.  A double baby shower is logical but...  I didn't have a clue what to do for a gender neutral shower.  Until Lauren came up with this darling theme to do a bumble bee baby shower!   We were  soon pinning and planning.  Here's some of the things we had fun making...

We started off making these fun "Mommies to Bee" invitations.

We loved all the fun papers and graphics we found online.

We inserted the invitations in these black cards (Target),
and put a glossy label on the front.

Look at these darling pom poms Lauren made from
black, white, and yellow table cloths!
Hanging them from the window was a great way to bring a little bit
of spring into a cold wintry day.

We knew where to put Cindy's Gifts and Ali's gifts 

Lauren made this "Mommy To Bee" banner with a variety of the scrapbook papers.

Glossy labels made water bottles fun..."Thanks for buzzin' by"
and "Sweet as Can Bee" and "Welcome Ba-bee."

My friend, Becky, made these Bee Themed cake balls
that were positively delicious.  The chocolate covered
cake balls dipped in oreos were a favorite, but the white
chocolate coconut, and the pearl covered yellow bites
were sooo delish!

Lauren baked delicious cupcakes with "Nana's"
fudge frosting and some busy bees on them,
and put them in darling cupcake holders that
she cut from polka dot papers on her
silhouette.

Veggies in class containers wrapped with black and yellow
ribbons.

Sandwich skewers on a bumble bee tray.

Lauren painted this terra cotta pot yellow,
added black electricians tape, inserted a
styrofoam block and some green grass,
and voila!  A bouquet of colorful sandwich
skewers!
