Dance, Dance, Dance
Lily's Dance Recital was held on the last day of the "Mom and Me" dance class, and we were invited to go watch all the girls perform. It was delightful to get to see these tiny girls perform their dances and show off what they've learned....

"Lily" Red Riding Hood
We had our first Trick or Treat-er stop by a few minutes ago....It was "Lily" Red Riding Hood, complete with the Big Bad Wolf and Granny!
She skipped right inside and got her basket filled with books and toys to take on the ride to Grandmother's (Aston's) house. Nana and Papa Gwilliam might have sneaked a couple of treats into her basket as well.
We love this happy and delightful little beauty!
Happy Halloween Lily Ann!

A Day with Thomas
Gavin and Griffin are obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine. They have Thomas shirts, Thomas blankets, Thomas dishes, books, movies, puzzles and of course....Thomas toys. So when Kathie heard that Thomas the Tank Engine was going to be at the Heber Creeper today, we couldn't wait to go check it out.
Gavin, Lily, and Griffin rest in front of Thomas and friends. The kids drew with chalk, blew bubbles, got Thomas tattoos, and met Sir Topham Hat!Griff played with Thomas on his track, and both boys loved the Tidmouth Sheds play area.
Then, it was our turn to climb on board for a ride on a real Thomas!
Lily, Ty and Amy loved the pretty scenery as Thomas chugged along. Peep! Peep!
The conductor gave Gavin a Junior Engineer Certificate.
It was a warm, lovely day to spend in Heber with Thomas and Friends!
Good bye Thomas!

Open Wide
Remember when you used to go to the zoo, and you'd stop and watch in amazement as the hippos would open their mouths at feeding time?

Welllllllllll....we've FINALLY got a tiny little thing that has decided she likes to eat, and she's gotten pretty serious about her food! When Lily opens her mouth for a bite, her entire face transforms (kind of like that hippo) as she opens wide to accept a bite of food!

This grandma is so very excited that little Lily is enjoying lots of different food now. Here she is at Tepanyaki, wishing the chef would throw one of those grilled shrimps her way! We love our darling little princess Lily.

Sitting on Santa
This year, Gavin was old enough to comprehend Santa's role in the Christmas festivities, so rather than feeling panic and fear when the word "Santa" is spoken, he actually got excited, and began rattling off the list of things that he wanted Santa to bring him: A Drum, Candy Canes, and Presents! He did not hesitate to climb right up on Santa's lap and have this conversation with him.

Griffin, however, was a little less...uh...receptive to Santa, and although he would visit Santa for a few moments as long as his big brother was near by,

He didn't particularly care for Santa when he had to go it alone.

Lily was at first...curious....

Then concerned.....

Then downright unhappy about that white beard!
Christmas with little ones is always a treat!

Beautiful Butterfly
Our little Lily was a Butterfly for Halloween. And a dang cute one, at that.

She came over (and brought her daddy, the Lady Bug and her mommy, the Black Widow) to do a bit of Trick-or-Treating, and we had to show her off to a few of our friends and neighbors.

Her grandparents (Egg and Bacon) couldn't have been more excited to have Lily over to share Chili, games, and her first Halloween with us!

Big Girl Bed
Tyler and Amy bought Lily a beautiful sleigh crib tonight, and I drove back to their house with Amy to help set it up. When Lily saw her new bed, she was a bit concerned. Although she didn't say the words out loud, we're pretty sure she was thinking "What?! I'm getting kicked out of mom and dad's room already, and I have to sleep in a room by myself in that big bed?"

Sweet dreams little Lily!

Perfectly Patriotic
.....or is it Patriotically Perfect? Whatever the case, I think these three are the cutest kids ever in their Independence Day attire:

Consider the Lily . . .
It seems like just a few short months ago that we had this package delivered to our house--the announcement that a grandbaby number 3 was on the way, and Tyler and Amy would soon be parents.

A few months after that, we found out that their baby would be a girl! Amy and Tyler were thrilled! (And it wasn't too tough on this grandma, either!)
Lily Ann Gwilliam was born on May 14th at 10:34 a.m. She weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz and is 20.5 inches long. She has a beautiful little head of downy soft hair, perfect bow shaped lips, and cute little thighs that already show evidence of potential rolls.
Amy worked hard and pushed for a long time to get their little princess into this world! The doc even put Tyler to work during each contraction, and they were both exhausted by the time Lily made her appearance. But they weren't too tired to show their happiness about this sweet little addition to their family. Grandma and Grandpa are pretty pleased with the whole grandbaby business too!
