The London 2012 Olympics kicked off while Kathie and the boys stayed with us last week, so we decided to have a little Olympic fun of our own. We invited the Liddle family to join ours for our version of the Olympic festivities.
We started off by making our own Olympic torches, and did a torch run. Even little Lily got to hold a torch of her own.
Followed by some pretty serious competition in the hurdles events.
The kids played a rousing round of tennis with fly swatters and balloons
And then moved on to the discus event, which looked strikingly similar to an Angry Bird Frisbee.
Gavin showed off his throwing skills with the Javelin throw
And all the kids spent some time doing some pretty professional looking puts.
Gavin and Griffin and their cousins stood on the podium--all winners!
We had Olympic Pizza followed by Olympic Cup cakes! Thanks for a great evening eveyone!
