Festive Food

With all the kids staying with us the week before Christmas, we had to kick the kitchen into high gear to keep every one fed. Omelets, Christmas Breakfast Casserole, Homemade Cafe Rio Burritos, Cream of Chicken Noodle Soup, and a Christmas Day Prime Rib topped the list of yummy things we made.


And, of course, no Christmas would be complete without baking and decorating Cookies for Santa.

Lauren made these adorable brownie and strawberry Santa hats --an idea we saw on Pinterest.

We had yummy festive buffets and delicious desserts

Even Elphie (our Elf on the Shelf) got in on the act, and made a dozen little donuts for himself one night while we were sleeping.


And, by the end of the week, Scott, who cooked and served, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher countless times, posted this sign on the microwave!!!
