It's a Texas Thang

There were approximately one million people at the airport waiting for missionaries to disembark the afternoon that Landon returned from the Texas San Antonio Mission. Each time a few elders or anyone in dark suits would come around the corner, every person in the entire baggage claim area would scream! There were so many people and posters and balloons that I thought I'd never be able to see when MY missionary rounded that corner! But, I soon discovered that the 6 missionaries returning from the Texas San Antonio Mission were easy to spot! Why? Because tradition holds that when those elders are comin' around the corner, they are sporting a snazzy ten gallon hat. It's a Texas thang, ya'll. And it made it easy to see Landon when he entered the terminal. And yes, we did scream!

Landon got to meet his nephew,Gavin, for the first time, and his soon-to-be brother-in-law, Richie as well!

What a great reunion it was! It's been wonderful to have Landon home again, and we have found that he has not changed a bit....quiet, witty, teasing, focused, but with a sweet spirit about him that has been wonderful to enjoy!
