Best Wishes . . .

Thanksgiving this year was indeed a blessing to have ample food to eat and a variety of family members to help eat it! But it was also a bittersweet day for us as Tyler and Amy began packing up to move into their darling new condo. It has been such a treat to have them live here for a few months, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even though they will return often (Amy will continue to teach vocal lessons from our home a few nights a week), there are many things we will miss about having them right here all the time! Some of my favorite things have been . . .

... late night discussions about work, church, family . .

... having someone live here who will actually use leftovers . . .

... Amy's laugh (and her comical hoodies and sweats, even in the summer). . .

... Tyler's jokes (and irrationally, his obnoxious nighttime attire, or lack thereof). . .

...hearing their two beautiful voices blend together in an impromptu duet as they sing a hymn together before their evening prayers...

... watching Tyler pace back and forth, back and forth through the living room after school in the evening, and then rush out to the driveway to greet Amy as soon as her car pulls in the driveway, as if they hadn't seen each other for weeks...

... getting to experience firsthand how Tyler and Amy love one another and do so many kind and thoughtful things for each other.

Tyler and Amy, dad and I are so excited for you and this new exciting phase in your lives, and although we will miss having you downstairs, we love you and are happy that you have your own place. And on Thanksgiving, we know our "wishbone" hopes will be realized, because when the wishbone snapped in two, we both wished for the same thing for the two of you.... :-D
