You've gotta definitely be smart to get one of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Awards, but it also takes a huge amount of effort to complete the applications and all the required forms, essays, resumes, and documentation. Jim and Kathie consider themselves very lucky for this great opportunity, which will fund them for the next three years as Jim researches his way to a degree! Good job Jim--we're proud of you!
