Family Campout

When Amy told us that she missed going camping, we decided we would give her a camping experience--right in our home. So, for dinner today, we had scout (foil) dinners, served in aluminum pie plates on checkered table cloths, insuring a camping atmosphere. Lauren put on CD's with birds, frogs, and other forest sounds. After dinner, we had campfires on the dining table and made smores. Okay, maybe they weren't exactly camp fires....but the flame produced by each individual tea light was enough to toast our miniature marshmallows on toothpicks. When coupled with a chocolate chip and a little graham cracker, it made the perfect bite sized smore! Check out the concentration here as these two roast their marshmallows. Hey Amy! I'll go camping with you anytime!

That sounds like my kind of camping.
