My Daughter, A Mother
It seems a few years ago
I held in my arms,
A new little baby
So snuggly and warm.
A beautiful smile,
Wispy hair with a curl.
At last heaven sent me
A sweet baby girl!
And in that first instant,
Right from the start,
My baby girl held
A special place in my heart.
Soft baby booties,
Dolls all over the place;
Ruffles and ribbons,
Pink dresses with lace.
Singing and dancing,
Tea parties and crafts,
Ballet and clogging,
Long talks and good laughs.
She’s no longer a child,
How quickly she’s grown!
And now my sweet daughter
Will have a babe of her own.
When her own baby’s born,
She’ll soon come to know,
Why my love for my daughter
Only continues to grow.

I love you Baby Dot! Love, Mom
