The Elements of Family Fun--Water

This year, our family elected to do a "Stay-Cation" together rather than travel with all the little ones. So, we wanted to make sure that our stay-at-home activities had all of the "elements" of family fun. We started with WATER.

After a delicious breakfast, prepared by Lauren and Richie, we visited The Living Aquarium.

None of us had been to the aquarium before...we decided it was pretty good!

Gavin on the giant frog.

Gavin LOVED the penguins...they were so energetic and active--he wanted to stay and watch them swim and jump forever!

After the acquarium, we also had some water activities at home to cool off. Gavin approached this crazy squirty sprinkler with great caution.

Griffing was content to chill out in his personal pool.

Both boys played with the sand and water station on the patio.

A few hours after we'd been out in the sun, this crazy front blew through and dumped water so fast it tore the awning and leaked into our house! But the storm only lasted a few hours, and then, we were ready for our next adventure!
