For his birthday celebration, we got to go to dinner at Outback Steakhouse, another dinner at Ciao Italian Bistro, and lunch at Chipotle. Of course, we also had to get an ice cream at Maggie Moo's.

We made Gavin a book of pictures from around the world, and then put Waldo-like images of Grandpa throughout the book. Richie did the artwork, and the book turned out darling. Each page Gavin read, he would point to grandpa and say, "There he is!"

A quick trip to Toys R Us yielded a cool new table, just the right size, for Gavin to sit and play, color and eat. When the top is removed, a lego table and blocks appear.

Gavin showed that he could still master his engineering skills of building a perfect tower--this one was even taller than him!

Gavin also had the chance to show off his smarts by counting to 20, recognizing and repeating the alphabet, and telling us all the shapes and colors that he knows. And of course, the most important thing he has learned is how to say Grandpa ("papa") and Grandma ("Mahma")! Love that boy!

I understand the phrase terrible twos! :) We had a blast and Gavin is missing you like crazy.
