Lauren was flattered when four (count 'em--four!) handsome young men from her physics class asked her for her phone number sometime during the 2nd week of school. Her ego was quickly smashed, however, when the first difficult homework was assigned by the professor. All four of those handsome young men texted her.....to ask her....if she wanted to "do homework together."
Imagine the pain associated with finding out that the "date" those fellows had in mind had nothing to do with dinner and a movie, but rather with angular velocity and the coefficient of linear expansion. Oh, the pain and emotional trauma.
Well Lauren, at least give them credit for noticing something about you, even if it was simply that you understand the material...there are things worse than being a physics whiz! On the plus side, you can use this opportunity to teach them some new physics concepts, like "Quantum Rejection" or "The Law of Stopped Momentum."
