Biker Chick

So, somehow, Lauren has developed this preposterous notion that this summer would be a good time for her to get a motorcycle. This ridiculous concept is only worsened by her father, who is vigorously promoting the idea. Now, as a mother, I can give all the reasons why a young woman doesn't belong on a motor cycle: No experience, safety issues, cost, and of course, the very image of a good girl on a motorcycle is shocking to say the least. And just when I think my valid arguments have finally been accepted....look what shows up in my inbox: Here's a picture of me when I was 18 (yep, Lauren's exact age), wearing inappropriately abbreviated shorts, zipping across the dessert on a motorcycle with a trail of dust behind me. Now, how does that saying go? What goes around.....
