New Year's Eve Day was terrific, as our family boarded the Heber Creeper for a short ride to Soldier Hollow. There, we rode the rope tows up to the top of a tubing hill, and rode down time and time again. Scott says this is one activity where everybody loves the fat guy...all the kids wanted to hook onto his tube because the ride down was faster! This, of course, resulted in a long and intense discussion among all of the Gwilliam kids (yep! they've even got Lauren talking like this...) about momentum, inertia, friction, speed, acceleration...well, you get the idea. We even let Kathie and baby ride down in an extremely controlled condition! What a blast! After the train ride back, and a stop at Cafe Sabor for mexican lunch, we came back home to prepare for the night's activities. Snacks and goodies, guitar hero and games: The Newlywed Game (which I'm proud to announce that Scott and I won!) and Family Feud (which I'm proud to announce that the women dominated!) were the events of the evening. Thanks to all for a great start to the New Year!

Sounds and looks like a lot of fun--what a great idea! Hope you weren't so tuckered out by the activities that you didn't make it to midnight :)
